19 of Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first championship after the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Success also means he has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is really nice," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my child Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his previous six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on court had led some to wonder if his capacity to compete at the elite level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden professional championship, seized the initiative to create a final set.
Moutet defended 4 initial opportunities in a competitive third set before the Russian broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a return after a lengthy match.
